Sat home sick from work yesterday :( Makes for such an awful day when all you want to do is sleep but can't because the coughing keeps you awake! It was such a GORGEOUS fall day too...and I didn't get to enjoy it except to let the doggies outside.
On a bright note I got quite a few emails from Charles on Sunday! He opened his halfway box and liked all the fun stuff I put in there for him (a couple movies, a game for his PSP, a Sounders flag etc)! Thankfully him opening his halfway box means....HALFWAY!!! It feels like it's been way longer than a month but we're on the downhill now and only a month and counting to go until he's back home! Sadly though we will do these again...and again...and again....every 3-4 months he'll be gone for 3 months! UGH!
I wish there was more to write but my life is so dull without Charles around! I successfully made my first homemade Pumpkin Bread this weekend! YUM!!!

Got these BEAUTIFUL flowers delivered to my house yesterday "from Charles"! Thanks to Josh for doing the actual delivery of flowers and not divulging how Charles had planned that all out! Now my kitchen has pumpkin potpourri, flowers from my parents (from Pike's Place Market) and now these gorgeous ones from Charles...needless to say my kitchens smells pretty good right now!!!!

And just for good fun...here's a picture of Wrigley with his pumpkin bone :) I love my little man!

The Beginning of October

One month down of Charles being gone...and hopefully only one more month to go!
Our "son" Soldier could DEFINITELY use some male influence in his doggie life. I can't quit making him eat things that don't belong to him, and more specifically MY CLOTHES! I've now lost 4 articles of clothing to that monster. I understand he's only 1 but I thought dogs were out of the chewing stage by then...well definitely not Soldier! So as soon as Charles returns home we will be taking him immediately to training!

Went and saw WICKED last night with my awesome friends Gerod and Kari...WOW what a show! We had great seats for a must-see-show, which was preceeded by a yummy dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I've only been to the one in Chicago so it was nice to see another Ruth's Chris...definitely a restaurant I'm going to have to introduce Charles to (along with the Melting Pot!)

So ready for my house to be not so empty and have Charles home....counting down the days...
